Pizza Inspiration

Almost everyone loves Pizza and it is so convenient! You can make healthy pizzas that taste great. Be creative. Here are a few ideas that will inspire you:

Barbeque Chicken pizza: barbeque sauce, grilled chicken, red and green peppers, mushrooms, onions, low fat mozzarella cheese, olives

Mediterranean: tomato sauce, red onions, green and red peppers, kalamata olives, feta cheese, baby spinach leaves, tomatoes

Salsa Pizza: salsa sauce, red and green peppers, grilled chicken, mozzarella cheese and hot peppers

Mushroom Pizza: several kinds of mushrooms are now available in the stores. Why not try a variety? Sautee them with garlic and try different base sauces for your pizza ie. A thin layer of tomato sauce or barbeque sauce or something that will bring out or compliment the mushroom flavor.

Thai Pizza: peanut sauce, red peppers, grated carrot, green onions, fresh cilantro and bean sprouts. Top with mozzarella cheese.  Mmmm.

The more veggies that are put on the pizza the better. Artichoke hearts, spinach, even steamed asparagus can taste great. Experiment with a whole wheat crust. It tastes better than it sounds!
